UNION IRONWORKER

Ironworkers Support Kamala Harris for President.

Vice President Kamala Harris is a champion for Ironworkers and everyday Americans. Over the last few years as Vice President, she has helped create thousands of good-paying, union jobs and restored retirement benefits for Ironworkers across the country. As President, Kamala Harris will always have our backs, fighting for our rights and wages now and for future generations.

Why We Stand with Vice President Kamala Harris:

Invested in Good-Paying, Union Jobs:

Vice President Kamala Harris was instrumental in creating thousands of union jobs by fighting for the American Rescue Plan, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act. Now, Ironworkers will be on the job for generations to come.

Restored Retirement Benefits:

Our union has spent decades working to protect the retirements that Ironworkers have earned. As Vice President, Kamala Harris cast the tie-breaking vote to pass the American Rescue Plan, which restored and protects the pensions of millions of workers, including Ironworkers across the country.

Strong Advocate for Workers’ Rights:

Vice President Harris is a strong advocate for workers’ rights. She has taken critical votes to strengthen the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), raise wage standards, and expand the use of project labor agreements. As Vice President, Harris led the White House Task Force on Worker Organizing and Empowerment, which strengthened collective bargaining practices across the federal government.

Did you know?
  • The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law invests $1.2 trillion into roads, bridges, ports, rail, energy, and other improvements to keep America moving. More than 40,000 projects are already underway across the country.
  • The American Rescue Plan restores and protects the pensions of millions of workers, including Ironworkers in multiple states.
  • The CHIPS and Science Act not only strengthens U.S. supply chains, but it also creates tens of thousands of construction jobs over the next decade that have strong protections for wages, apprenticeship, and safety.
  • The Biden-Harris Administration modernized Davis-Bacon wage standards for the first time in over 40 years to ensure Ironworkers’ paychecks keep up with the times.
  • The Inflation Reduction Act – which includes incentives for homeowners and businesses who make energy efficient upgrades – spurred more than 210,000 new jobs in 2023 alone.

Make sure you have a plan to vote.

How you vote is your decision, but our union has done the research. Kamala Harris is the best choice for the Iron Workers in this election.
